Body Size : The body is up to 2.5cm
Habitat: sandy beaches and mudflats during low tide to feed.

Appearance: A small, grayish-brown sand bubbler crab with a rounded body, robust legs, and elongated eyes.

Habitat: This species prefers sandy substrates over muddy ones, inhabiting the lower regions of sandy beaches throughout tropical Asia. It has been documented in locations like Port Dickson.

Feeding: Similar to the blue soldier crab, it is a deposit feeder that filters organic matter from sand.

Burrowing: It creates burrows, sometimes called "igloos," by excavating sand and forming it into spherical pellets to build a circular wall. It burrows to protect itself from the tide and traps a small air bubble to breathe.
